Poached egg is a terrific breakfast on sandwich or a side dish near salad. The best quality of doing egg this method, is that you don’t need to add extra oil. You could use instead of oil some slices of avocado, which gives you the healthy fat. At first this method may seem a little difficult, but actually it’s hard to mess it up and it’s definitely even easier to make than fried eggs. I have found a beautiful video that shows how easy is to make poached eggs here.

So you’ll need:

  • egg
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Boil the water, add vinegar and salt in it. If the water is boiling lower the heat to low. So you could only see a little shimmering. If shimmering is too heavy, it may ruin your egg. Crack the egg into a cup first, then, when the water is at a bare simmer, gently slide the egg into the water. Swirl the water with a spoon and drop the egg into the center. Let it boil about 2-3 minutes. After boiling place a egg on tissue, so the excessive water will be lost.

Tip! Just after dropping the egg into water you could help to shape a egg gently with a spoon.

Tip! You may use any preferred vinegar (e.g. apple, wine), because traditional vinegar may have too strong taste.

Tip! You don’t have to boil one egg at a time, but you should place the eggs into boiling water one at a time.

Pošeeritud muna

Pošeeritud muna ehk uputatud muna on ilma kooreta keedetud muna. See näeb taldrikul väga efektne välja, kuid on ka väga maitsev. Minu isiklik lemmik muna valmistamise viis, sest on mahlane, kuid ei vaja küpsetamiseks õli. Sobib nii võileiva peale kui salati kõrvale, soovitan süüa koos avokaadoga, et saada hoopistükis tervislikku rasva. Esmapilgul võib tunduda muna pošeerimine keeruline, kuid kinnitan, et kindlasti ei tasu seda peljata. Pigem hoopis vastupidi, mulle tundub et tegemist isegi kergema muna valmistamise viisiga kui praadimine. Leidsin internetist kauni video, mis tõestab kui lihtne on muna pošeerimine. Video siin.

Läheb vaja:

  • muna
  • 1 spl äädikat
  • 1/2 tl soola

Eralda muna sisu kaussi, siis jääb muna ilusama kujuga. Keeda vesi, kui vesi keeb, siis alanda kuumus madalaks. Lisa äädikas ja sool. Jälgi et vesi õrnalt muliseks, mitte ei eraldaks suuri mulle. Suured mullid on tugeva jõuga ja rikuvad munavalge struktuuri. Kui vesi õrnalt muliseb, siis hakka keerutama vees ringe. Libista ringi sisse muna. Keeda umbes 2-3 minutit. Peale keetmist, aseta muna paberist köögirätikule, et üleliigne vesi eemalduks.

Tip! Koheselt peale muna libistamist vette on võimalik muna kuju parandada õrnalt lusikaga kaasa aidates. Sellist tehnikat kasutades võid saavutada kauni ümmarguse muna.

Tip! Kui kardad äädika tugevat maitset, siis kasuta õuna/veiniäädikat või muud.

Tip! Võid ka mitu muna korraga keeta, kuid munad aseta vette kindlasti ühe kaupa.
