Healthy vegan blueberry breakfast smoothie

Blueberries + almonds + oats, perfect and healthy blueberry breakfast smoothie combination. Every ingredient in this smoothie deserves only a praise, so try it and thank yourself for food that is healing you. Blueberries are full of antioxidants, almond milk contains neither saturated fat nor cholesterol and pure oats are gluten-free, great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.

If you want truly pure, silky, milky, nutty and fresh almond milk then I suggest you to make it by yourself. It’s super easy once you’ll get to know the basics and the taste is definitely worth it.
Beside that this smoothie is really bladder friendly. If you’re a woman and ever experienced problems with your bladder, then you may find that recipe specially useful. These ingredients doesn’t irritate your stomach, but rather help you to cure.

For one smoothie jar that is 500 ml you’ll need:

  • 1/3 cup of blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain oats
  • 3 dates
  • 1/2 frozen banana, sliced before
  • 250 ml almond milk
  • big handful of ice-cubes
  • sprinkle of ground cinnamon

Add everything into blender and let it blend at least 45 seconds. The more you blend the better result will be, so be patient.

For homemade almond milk you’ll need to soak overnight 1/2 a cup of almonds in fresh water. Then drain it and blend with 250 ml of fresh water. Strain the almonds and press the milk out of it. If you haven’t done almond milk by yourself before then here are beautiful instructions with photos for that.

Mustikasmuuti teeb suu mustikaseks ja kõhule pai!

Ühe 500ml smuuti jaoks läheb sul vaja:

  • 1/3 tassi/ 80 ml mustikaid, värskeid või külmutatud
  • 2 Spl täistera kaerahelbeid
  • 3 datlit
  • 1/2 banaani, viilutatud ja külmutatud
  • 250 ml mandlipiima
  • suur peotäis jääkuubikuid
  • jahvatatud kaneeli

Lisa kõik koostisosad blenderisse ja lase masinal käia vähemalt 45 sekundit. Ole kannatlik, sest blenderdamine on smuuti valmistamisel üks tähtsamaid tegevusi.

Kui otsustad isetehtud mandlipiima kasuks, siis sul läheb vaja pool tassi üleöö puhtas vees leotatud mandleid. Smuuti valmistamise päeval kurna mandlid ja blenderda nad üheskoos 250 ml puhta veega. Pressi mandlipiim läbi paksema marli või õhema tekstiili (sõel selleks tavaliselt ei sobi, kuna on liiga suure läbilaskvusega). Kui piim valmis,  lisa ülejäänud smuuti koostisosad ja blenderda vähemalt 45 sekundit.
